To sit back, relax, sip coffee, and look at the stars? If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been told to turn down this Jesus stuff like seventy notches, I’d be a millionaire. And, as I said in my song “Fear,” I don’t want to fade into a black and white world where there is no color… the thought of being alone with my thoughts makes me shudder. How relieving would it be to not have to swim against the status quo all the time? I could start writing about things that are “safe” and get accepted by everyone. Do you know how easy it would be to not be unconventional? At least for a day or two. Sometimes I would rather take the path of least resistance, but that’s not what God has in store for me.
